DR. JOHANN VAN DER VYVER, CCFP(FPA), MB.,Ch.B., D.A., M.Fam.Med.,D.P.D.
Dr. Johann van der Vyver is the medical director of DermaNuva Skin Laser Health in Olds and attained the Practical Dermatology Diploma from the University of Cardiff, Wales, in 2015. He is also a member of the College of Canadian Family Physicians. He brings a wealth of knowledge & experience in skin-related medical conditions to the Olds community. His focus is on medical aesthetics and referral-based, primary care dermatology, with a particular interest in minor skin surgeries, laser treatment for various skin conditions, pre-cancer screening, psoriasis, acne, and eczema.
Dr. Van der Vyver attained his Masters Degree in Family Medicine from the University of Stellenbosch in 1999. While working in South Africa, he developed a keen interest in the skin & has gained early career experience performing minor skin surgeries. He has been working as GP Anesthesiologist in the Olds hospital since 2006 and has started DermaNuva in 2010.
