Grow longer lashes with LATISSE

What is it?
LATISSE is the only prescription eyelash product approved in Canada to grow your natural eyelashes longer, fuller, and darker. Visible results happen as early as eight weeks, with full dramatic effects in 12-16 weeks.

How is LATISSE different?
Unlike over-the-counter eyelash products that condition and moisturize lashes, or mascara products that make your lashes look longer than they are, LATISSE has been clinically proven to actually grow noticeably longer, fuller and darker lashes. LATISSE is the only prescription product that is clinically proven and approved in Canada.

How does LATISSE work?
LATISSE prolong the anagen phase, which is the active growth phase of the eyelashes.

FAQ’s

Can I still wear mascara if I use LATISSE?

Yes, there is no problem in using mascara while you are using LATISSE.

What if I forget to apply LATISSE?

If you miss a night, don’t apply extra to try to catch up. Simply apply LATISSE the next night as usual and stay on schedule.

What if I stop using LATISSE?

If LATISSE is discontinued, lashes will eventually return to their previous appearance.

Are there any possible side effects?

The most common side effects after using LATISSE solution are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness. LATISSE solution may cause other less common side effects, which typically occur on the skin close to where LATISSE is applied, or in the eyes. These rarely include skin darkening, eye irritation, eye dryness, and eye redness.

Will there be lid pigmentation changes with LATISSE?

LATISSE may cause darkening to the upper eyelid. This is expected to be reversible if you stop using LATISSE.

Can anyone use LATISSE?

You should not use LATISSE if you are allergic to one of its ingredients. Also, you should talk to your doctor or eye care specialist before starting LATISSE if any of the following apply to you.

  • Previous diagnosis of eye pressure problems (specifically, elevated intraocular pressure)
  • Currently taking medication for eye pressure problems (particularly intraocular pressure). If so, you should be closely monitored while using LATISSE
  • Risk factors for glaucoma including a family history of glaucoma. Please speak to an eye care specialist before starting LATISSE.

How to use LATISSE

  1. LATISSE should be applied once a day, ideally before you go to bed at night. Start by removing contact lenses, removing any makeup and cleansing the skin
  2. Remove a new, unused applicator from its tray. Hold the sterile applicator horizontally and place one drop of LATISSE solution close to the tip. Don`t put the drop right on the tip.
  3. Imagine you are applying eyeliner and draw the applicator carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid, where the eyelashes meet the skin. Start at the inner edge near your nose and work towards the outer edge.
  4. Blot any excess solution beyond the outer edge of the eyelid margin. If LATISSE accidently gets in your eye, don`t worry, it is not expected to cause harm. They eye should not be rinsed.
  5. Dispose of the applicator after one use. Repeat for the opposite eye, using a new applicator to avoid any contamination from one eyelid to the other.

DO NOT APPLY directly into your eye. DO NOT APPLY to the lower eye lid because excess hair growth outside the treatment area may occur. ONLY use the sterile applicators supplied with LATISSE to apply the product. They have been designed to help patients safely apply the product. Don`t allow the tip of the bottle or applicator to contact surrounding structures, fingers, or any other unintended surface in order to avoid contamination by common bacteria known to cause infections. Contacted lenses should be removed prior to application of LATISSE and may be reinserted 15 minutes following its administration. LATISSE contains benzalkonium chloride, which may be absorbed by soft contact lenses. It is possible for hair growth to occur in other areas of your skin that LATISSE frequently touches. Any excess solution outside the upper eyelid margin should be blotted with a tissue or other absorbent material to reduce the chance of this from happening. It is possible for a difference in eyelash length, thickness, fullness, pigmentation, number of hairs, and/or direction of eyelash growth to occur between eyes. These differences, should they occur, will usually go away if you stop using LATISSE.

Safety information

If you are using prescription products for lowering eye pressure or have a history of eye pressure problems, only use LATISSE under close doctor supervision. LATISSE may cause eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible, and there is a potential for increase brown iris pigmentation, which is likely to be permanent.
